MGA Coupe Mk1 1600 for sale £20,995

In Tartan red with Biscuit leather seats and grey carpets.

Built in 1960 and delivered to Jersey in 1961, this delightful MGA Coupe returned to the UK in 1965. It received a comprehensive restoration to concours standard, it was an MGOC concours winner at one stage, many years ago and remains in excellent order now.

The car has a comprehensive history back to virtually new with a detailed log of maintenance from 1965 including many invoices and notes, MOT certificates from 1978, details of import duty paid in '65, and a BMIHT Heritage Certificate confirming that this is a matching numbers example. There are also copies of road tests, advice on servicing and repair, a copy of the Handbook, and other material on MGAs.

Chrome wire wheels are fitted as is a wooden Motalita steering wheel, front spot lights, a rear fog light, a stainless luggage rack and a badge bar.

Being a Mk1 MGA, the car is fitted with a 1,588cc four cylinder engine with twin carburettors, a four speed gearbox, and disc brakes to the front and drums to the rear.

The last owner has had the car for fifteen years and has kept up the meticulous maintenance program with the idea that it is always in 'ready to use' condition. It has been kept at air conditioned premises.

Whilst no longer concours , the Coupe is in fine cosmetic and mechanical order. It drives beautifully and is ready to use. The paintwork has minor issues on the passenger door and the bonnet. There are no rust bubbles and the underside is very clean and well protected.

A great car which is begging to be used and enjoyed.
