Land Rover Discovery V8 for sale Sold

Sold

In white with grey cloth trim.

A rare and interesting 4.0 litre V8, fuel injected, petrol engined Discovery 2 with a five speed manual gearbox. It is five seater, GS model with coil suspension at the rear, cloth trim, manual seats, a CD player, electric windows, climate control air conditioning and no (leaky) sunroofs.

The Discovery was built in June 2000 and dispatched to an export company in Chertsey, Surrey but appears never to have left these shores. An SVA/IVA Certificate was issued on 27/06/2003, the Land Rover was registered on 08/08/2003 and the V5c shows 'Declared new at first registration' where it would normally make reference to use abroad in the 'Special Notes' section.

There is a full Dealer Pack with the car and the Service bookshows the first service at 10,231 miles on 05/04/2004. The service stamps then continue all the way to 75,385 miles (the current mileage is 75,910)  The MOT runs to July 2020.

Recent works include the fitment of a full stainess steel exhaust system, a new power steering pump, a full professional Waxoyl to the underside and various seals and gaskets have been replaced for the fastidious owner. A small coolant leak was detected from the nearside cylinder head so both heads were removed, pressure tested and skimmed and refitted with new head gaskets, and the radiator was replaced as it was looking old.

With low mileage and only three owners since new, the extensive service history and its original specification, this Discovery is rather special and unusual. It has never had a towbar fitted and is in superb, rust free, condition.
