Porsche 911 Carrera Sport Targa For Sale Sold

NOW SOLD

Totally restored in the style of a 1974 2.7 Carrera by classic Porsche specialist Steve Ackrill at Goss Hall Classics who built the car as a personal project to create a stunning 'back date'

The car has had a Major restoration over the last 2 years and is now in glorious condition having just done 50 test miles since the completion of the work in March, 2015. It has been retro fitted with parts in the style of a 1974 Carrera 2.7 and over £20,000 parts alone have been used, as can be seen from the invoices in the file. Many hundreds of hours have been spent to obtain a top quality result as can be seen from the pictures. The car has the “feel” of a new car when driven. The original body-shell was stripped to bare metal, new outer sills, kidney panels and B posts were welded in to make the shell structurally sound. New panel work consists of new front wings, front and lower valances, nearside sill cover and front wing infill panels; all being genuine Porsche supplied parts. The shell and panels were then painted in the car’s original colour of Grand Prix White. New rubber seals have been used throughout. All exterior fittings have been changed from black to chrome, front fog-lights removed and earlier front valance fitted. The engine and gearbox were removed and the gearbox was rebuilt by Mike Bainbridge and a new clutch fitted. All new engine tinware, new alternator etc. The suspension has been stripped and rebuilt with new bushes throughout and new rear shock absorbers, followed by full 4 wheel alignment and ride-height set up. New carpets, RS style door cards in black leather and seats trimmed in black leather with houndstooth cloth centre panels. A Momo Prototipo steering wheel has been fitted and the Targa roof panel recovered. The car was originally owned locally to us.

It has masses of history from new and comes with original Supplying Dealer Ian Anthony (Wilmslow) Ltd. receipt showing the original colour of Grand Prix White with Optional Equipment listed: Limited Slip Diff. Front and Rear spoilers. White Sports Wheels. Graded Screen. Elec. Sports Seats. 6J and 7J Wheels. Sports Shock Absorbers. 88AH battery. Carrera Side Lettering. Comes with original Maintenance Record with 26 service stamps from the likes of the supplying dealer, Autofarm and Hanley Car Centre Porsche Specialists. Old MOT certificates and old tax discs.

The Porsche now wears a period M registration number to add to the authenticity.

A very impressive car indeed.
