46,000 miles since new with three owners.

For the first two years, this GTE was chauffeur driven for an Oxford Street Department Store Manager. In 1979, we have a letter from the seller to the buyer in the file, it joined a collection of Porsches in Surrey where it lived for thirty two years. We are told that Terry Cox of T.C. Improvements (Scimitar Specialists) looked after the car during this time.

The specification includes the Ford 3.0 litre V6 engine, a three speed automatic gearbox, a new Weber carburettor conversion, power steering, electric windows, a Kenlowe electric engine fan, virtually new alloy wheels and tyres, uprated headlights and seatbelts front and rear. 

The engine bay is pristine. The engine was removed and everthing re-painted or renewed as required. Within the last 1,000 miles the car has had new spark plugs, ignition, the Weber carburettor, a water pump, new belts, a new battery, an electric fuel pump, various hoses and a brake servo.

No doubt because of its low mileage, this Scimitar has a superb interior with just light wear in a couple of places.  The chassis is one of the best you'll see on these cars and the mechanics are well sorted.

The paintwork gleams and there is no crazing showing, but the paint finish is not as good the rest of the car. Nevertheless, we believe that this unmolested GTE is one of the nicest remaining.
